Wood hand plane modification

I have been using my wooden hand plane more and more.   To the point that I thought it was a little uncomfortable to use.   Took it to the band saw and with a few cuts and some scraping to smooth...here is what I came up with.   Very comfortable to use and because I made it...not to concerned with making modifications.   The tung oil finish looks nice too.
