Chair Prototype
Here is a model I built today of the chair I will be building in a couple of weeks. Just wanted to make sure the size works. Since this was a mock up, I just used pocket screws.
I made templates for the legs so I could rough cut them and then use a router with a bearing bit. It worked great. The plywood cut smooth and the walnut I plan to use for the actual chair will trim even better.
More to come...
Update: I will be reshaping the rear legs at the top to provide a little more curve. They looked wrong once I had the model together. This is the first time I have built a prototype of my project and I am glad I did. Getting something to look right design wise isn't as easy as I would have thought.
