Foot stool for Grandma.

Here is a foot stool I made this weekend for my Grandma. It is made out of 4/4 cherry. I just doubled up the wood for the legs. I used dowel joinery for ease of build and also for strength. It can double as a seat/bench if needed. The pad is my first attempt in fabric. I purchased a pad at Jo Ann's and stapled the covering over 1/2 inch ply. This will make it fairly easy to change fabric if needed.  This was finished using a spray polyurethane satin finish.
