Roorkee Chair

My next project is going to be the Roorkee Chair. It is considered campaign furniture. Campaign furniture is what English officers used while deployed overseas. This chair is named from the town it was designed and built: Roorkee, India. I got the idea from Christopher Schwarz. He has a book out called Campaign Furniture.

Wooden legs and stretchers make up the frame and the seating material is leather. I will be making two and they will be walnut and leather. So I will be officially combining two of my hobbies. The pictures included are a drawing of the chair and the legs I turned.

It is a bit of a challenge getting 8 legs reasonably close in shape to one another. Looks pretty good to me.
